In HIIT, we’ll start with an extensive warm-up to make sure your muscles are ready to go before we really get going. Each class will have high intensity intervals mixed with rest periods with the goal being to get your heart rate up and let it rest just enough to do it again. We have a variety of formats for HIIT (tabata, EMOM, amrap, you name it) to keep it fun and not repetitive. We’ll close out the class with some supporting exercises like core work or mobility so that you’re leaving class with your body feeling better than when you showed up.

High Intensity Interval Training
The goal of Get Fit Lab is to give you a complete full body workout that incorporates some functional movement such as balance, unilateral strength, and conditioning among other things. We start off class with a brief warm-up and then go through three to five stations in groups of five to ten people for six to ten minutes per station. Some stations are at your own pace, some are time based, there’s a variety of formats. You can expect to challenge your strength, balance, cardio fitness and more in Get Fit Lab.

In Strength and Tone, we go through a specific warm-up, mobility and a series of strength training exercises to focus on lower body, upper body, or total body depending on the day. You can expect each day to have a focus of not just making you “feel the burn” but actually focusing on compound and isolation exercises to make you stronger than when you showed up.

Bootcamp is the original Athletic Form class, where it all started at the park. This class is partner-based so you’ll be doing each station in a group of two. We start class off with some core work followed by a warm-up. Following the warm-up you’ll go through 10-15 stations for 20-30 seconds per station. Generally we’ll go around two times with a break in between but you can expect to get a few surprise stations or a bonus round every once in a while. Once a month we do a DJ Bootcamp with music provided by a live DJ. There’s a reason this class is so popular and kicked things off for Athletic Form, Bootcamp is Always A Good Vibe.

HYROX
HYROX is the fastest growing sport in the fitness racing world, combining running and functional workout stations in a team or individual race format. Participants run 1km followed by a functional workout station, repeating this sequence eight times. This can be tackled individually, as a team, or as a relay, encompassing a mix of cardio and muscle endurance exercises lasting 45-60 minutes.
As HYROX continues to expand, AF will be partnering as an affiliate to bring HYROX fever to our Seattle fitness community. We are expanding our class offering to include hybrid strength and conditioning training, specifically designed to prepare you for a HYROX competition. Come check it out!
